Box furnaces and high-temperature electric furnaces are used for element analysis in various industrial and mining enterprises, colleges and universities, and scientific research units, as well as for heating during quenching, annealing, and tempering of small steel parts. Box furnaces are specifically designed for carbon and sulfur analysis in steel mills, cast iron factories, and laboratories. All high-temperature furnaces are equipped with temperature controllers, which use thermocouples for temperature measurement to indicate and automatically control the temperature of the high-temperature furnaces. Temperature controllers are divided into two types: pointer type and digital type.

To ensure the sufficient combustion of combustible gases in the flue gas during electric furnace smelting and the settling of large particle dust in the flue gas, a combustion settling chamber is installed at the tail of the I section flue. In engineering, the combustion settling chamber is insulated. From the on-site operation, it can be seen that the electric furnace flue gas contains a large amount of dust, and a large amount of dust is deposited in the settling chamber in a short period of time. According to on-site observations, the height of dust accumulation directly below the I section flue can reach about 4 meters. However, due to various reasons, the dust accumulation was not cleaned up in a timely manner in the early stage of production, resulting in the high-temperature flue gas and dust from the I section flue gas quickly rebounding when encountering the surface of the ash pile, causing serious erosion of the top of the settling chamber.

This may result in the following consequences: the insulation top life of the combustion settling chamber is significantly shortened; The settling space in the settling chamber is reduced, the residence time of smoke in the settling chamber is shortened, the settling effect of smoke is weakened, and the burden of smoke passing through the equipment is increased; Increasing smoke side resistance affects dust removal efficiency. Based on the actual situation of this project and similar projects such as the Yingkou Chinese style base, it is recommended to have a cleaning cycle of once a week. At the same time, in the design of similar projects in the future, a combination of insulation and vaporization forms can be considered for the settlement chamber. Insulation should be considered at the bottom and around the settlement chamber, and vaporization should be considered at the top and ash outlet. Due to the large fluctuations in high-temperature electric furnace flue gas, it is difficult for the insulation top to withstand the working environment of rapid cooling and heating of electric furnace flue gas.
